The Annual North Fort Myers Honorary Mayor Campaign has begun!

By Kim Constantine, Executive Director

Each Year the North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce hosts an event that is talked about all year.
The 2011 North Fort Myers Honorary Mayor Barbeque and Community festival will be no exception.  Several Candidates are running for the North Fort Myers Honorary Mayor position. Candidates will be announced next week.

This year the unique down home venue calls to the entire community.  The Chamber is planning on making this a family festival with food, games, activities and fun.  We look to encourage the local businesses, both Chamber members and non-members to participate.

The gracious host of past Honorary Mayor events, Tommy Hoolihan with Hoolihan Lifestyle Center has offered his luscious 18 acre private Southern Waters Estate to create a true Southern Style Venue. There will be plenty of parking, entertainment for adults and children promising community spirit for a "Grand Time".

Tickets are $15.00 per person.  Kids are $5.00.  There will be a full out BBQ, and taste of North Fort Myers ( hosts to be announced). SWFL business's will donate a bountiful display of gifts, services, and products during the "Great Chinese Auction". There will be 30 SWFL business's participating in our Business Exposition offering prizes and freebees. All Mayor candidates votes will be tallied during the event to announce the winner during our NFM Honorary Mayor Ceremony. All proceeds support The North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce business and community programs and services.  Visit www.nfmchamber.org for more information.

Mark your calendar for Saturday January 29, 2010.   11:00AM to 4:00PM.  Call The North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Welcome center 239 997-9111 to reserve your tickets.  All prepaid ticket participants will enter to win one of ten cash visa cards valued at $50.00
