11th Annual Southwest Florida Blues Festival "A Great Place to Get The Blues"

A great laid back "Blues Festival" featuring some of the best blues entertainers in the business.  This is a Matlacha Mariners non-profit event, organized to benefit music education, youth groups, senior citizen support networks and other local charities.  Blankets, chairs and sunscreen are encouraged but no coolers, no carry in beverages and no pets please. Featuring:  Texas Blues Legend; GUITAR SHORTY, truly a legendary guitar slinger who has been performing for audiences around the world for five decades.  Credited with inspiring Jimmie Hendrix and blues great Buddy Guy. 

BETH MCKEE, from Jackson Mississippi earned her chops in hard-core blues bands with session players for Malaco Records. Beth became a fixture in the Austin Blues scene-- lots of gigs at Antones.

Chicago blues sensation, NICK MOSS and THE FLIPTOPS,  With seven critically-acclaimed traditional blues albums and various awards, Nick was featured on the April and May 2010 issue Blues Review Magazine. 
HONEY ISLAND SWAMP BAND, Great music begins with great songs, and great songs are what the Honey Island Swamp Band is all about.    Honey Island was nominated Best of The Beat's 2009 best emerging artist and best blues album. 
DEB and THE DYNAMICS, One of the area's premier blues bands.  A group of seasoned veterans who constantly brings high energy shows to the stage and always pack the house.
DANNY SHEPARD and BLUE MERCURY, burning Blues/Rock guitar with earthy voice, among other things Danny was chosen to perform Angus Young's lead guitar parts with cliff Williams and Bryan Johnson of AC/DC during 96 K-rock's 2004 and 2005 hurricane benefits and Florida.
