Young Artists Awards Gala

Support the performing arts at the Young Artists Awards Gala Sunday, March 14 at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre.

The Young Artists Awards auditions were held January 23rd and January 30th at the Alliance for the Arts. Students performed in five categories: dance, drama, instrumental music, classical voice, and contemporary voice/music theatre before panels of 51 adjudicators.

The Gala

Sunday, March 14 at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre

Performances by the 22 individual finalists

Dinner and a silent auction begin at 6 PM; show starts at 7:30 PM.

The event is hosted by Lois Thome of WINK-TV.

The Young Artists Awards program is a not for profit performing arts education, audition, performance and scholarship program for area students ages 8-21. They work with the pediatric oncology/hematology program at the Children's Hospital,donating art supplies for the children to use all year long and matting, framing, and exhibiting their artwork at the following venues:

Arts for ACT Gallery Exhibit and Sale (Now through the end of February)
Alliance for the Arts Exhibit (April 2010 and January 2011)
Southwest Florida International Airport Exhibit (Now through December 2010)
