The 1st annual SW FLORIDA 3,2,1, TALENT SHOW is open to any current Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Hendry or Lee County resident. Each act must complete an audition in order to be considered for the Talent Show. Auditions will be held on August 13th, 2011 from 11:00am-2pm located at Diamond Billards in Cape Coral, Fl. Entries may enter one of two categories...age 12-18 years old or age 18 and up category. Each act must submit a list of names in each group (no more than 5 people per group). Stage is approx 12' long x 6' wide.
Live show will be held August 20th.
ENTRY FEE IS: $1 PER PERSON or 1 CAN OF PET FOOD PER PERSON. (EXAMPLE: IF THERE ARE 3 PEOPLE IN A GROUP IT WILL BE $3 or 3 CANS OF PET FOOD). PET FOOD IS BEING COLLECTE FOR THE GULF COAST HUMANE SOCIETY.
The Talent Show wants to showcase acts that involve dance, singing, comedy, and even the strange talents like juggling 10 things at once, etc. NO BANDS!! There will be 1 microphone available.
The Talent Board will select judges for the Auditions and Talent Show. These judges will be a mixture of SW Florida celebraties. The decision of the judges is final and may not be appealed.
All acts will be granted a maximum of 2 1/2 minutes. We will pick six (6) finalist in the 12 years old to 18 years old category and we will pick twelve (12) finalist from the 18 years old and older category. Please be prepared to audition.
Auditions
During auditions, you are required to turn in a list of all performers' names. (Remember only 5 people per group). Adding people to your act after auditions is not permitted. Again, the stage area is appox. 12'long by 6'wide.
The top acts chosen to perform in the live show as finalist from each category will be notified at 3pm or by phone no later than 4pm. The act that you audition is the same act that you are expected to perfect and perform throughout practices and the night of the show. Any changes to your act must be approved by the Talent Show Director. Any requested changes must be presented PRIOR to August 18th.
Talent Show Program
A member of the board will take your photo the day of your audition, so please come prepared. We also need your individual or group description---you will not be allowed to audition without turning in the form.
The Talent Show will offer over $3500 in prizes for the winners of the Talent Show. There will be a:
Grand Prize winner: valued at over $2800
2sd place winner: valued at over $350
3rd place winner: valued at over $250
Runner-up winner: Valued at over $150
